here comes the new year.
First off, the caroling thing defies description but here goes.....
The trolley pulls up in front of my house and about 30 people in different kinds of crazy Christmas hats are singing the worst rendition of Jingle Bells ever witnessed. Ever.
Jack is completely unfazed and immediately joins in the fun. The whole deal lasted about 3 hours (we made it an hour) and surprisingly, there were no arrests. Cops must have had a busy night elsewhere because the sounds coming off that bus had to violate some law.
Lets just say it was no Silent Night that’s for sure.....
Some of y’all may have caught the news of the explosion downtown in Savannah yesterday. We are alright and thank the Lord no one was hurt. With all the new buildings going up and the power company trying to redo lines that are out of date and who knows how old, it was too much for the system and it just blew up. That’s not the official version mind you just the facts.
It just blew up.
We missed a half day of business but got open for dinner and are back on our normal schedule today. Savannah is really busy and boy do we need it. Everyone downtown is experiencing an uptick in business and after the steady decline in the last quarter we are all so thankful.
Y’all should have seen Jacks face when he saw that Santa had come to see him Christmas night! That was the best present I received this year....of course I got it on tape. He got a train table and puzzles and of course his dinos. I can’t imagine more fun than a two year old on Christmas morning...it may be a three year old, I’ll let y’all know.
Brooke’s folks were here and her brothers and with my side of the family all here it was just a great holiday and a good time was had by all......
Thanks to y’all who keep up with us and my blog...its been six months or so and I look forward to checking in and hearing from y’all....its more fun than I thought it would be and sometimes harder too.
