hey y’all….i’m late. again.

You see, Brooke and I have a 2 year and that is an automatic excuse for anything, anytime.

Jack Deen, the smartest most handsome child in the history of the entire planet and any other planet that may produce children, turns 2 next month....and lets just say that brings some changes.

“No daddy”. Thats a good one. “Here daddy”. Another favorite.

And his new best friend...the dog. Or dawg in this case. Champ is the great grandson of UGA V, part of the University Of Georgia’s mascot line. Sweetest dawg in the world. He has more gas than Chevron but still, very loving and great with Jack. He is a docile animal so say for instance if Jack were standing behind Champ.....with his finger poked out, champ would kinda roll with the punches or pokes, whatever.
So Brooke walks in the den and both of her boys slowly raise their heads and just look at her. Champ with his look of “ you brought him home” and jack with his finger out.... behind the dawg. We use a lot of cleaning material at the house.

The old “watch my hand disappear” is a good trick too. Champ is about 60 pounds and a foot off the ground and resembles two cannon balls welded together and he has a big head. It is no longer a surprise for us to walk in and find Jack wrist deep in Champs mouth or pulling his jowls north and south at the same time. Good ole Champ.
So, yesterday at nap time Jack announces “No Daddy”.....and doesn’t. How can a child go 400 miles an hour and not need a nap. Jack is a go-go getter. Non-stop, which is great. A personality that doesn’t stop and neither does his motor so me and his momma need a break. Please… “No Daddy”.

OK, so we power through and make it to 7:30 and finally, he is out of gas. Sleeping like a baby and at 12:30 am, in the middle of the night I hear “daddy”.....

I go up to check on blankies and a re-tuck, it happens, but last night he was capital A awake......until 3:45.  Ahhh the joys.......

Another thing he has started is “ I love you too daddy” and that my friends is worth staying up for the rest of my life.

Thanks for checking back,
y’all do good things
