I wanted to drop in and thank everybody for the great response to our search for a condo name. Thank you everybody! Jamie and his family went down to a wedding in Amelia Island this weekend and I think he is still shaking off the cobwebs from one of their rare nights out with freinds and a few adult beverages! The weather here in Savannah is perfect and I would like to invite y’all down to see it for yourself. The beach is calling your name! I hope to get out on the golf course in the next few days before we head up to New York for our apperence on Good Morning America on Friday morning. We are doing a spot for their summer concert series, John Legend is the musical guest,and we are gonna cook up some ribs out on the grill in Central Park.

Bobby glad to hear from you for a change and yes that beach is calling my name loud and clear. I had to come down last weekend very impromptu as a result and yes, the weather was perfect. I think that when mid-life crisis hits, you may just find me on a beach with a pina colada and some Jimmy Buffet music (lol). I’m ready to come back already—but it looks like I won’t get back down until the 4th of July weekend.
Have a safe trip to New York. Wish I could sample one of those ribs that you’ll be grilling—they always look delicious. Eat a bite for me.

HEY GUYS...one more thing. I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. A friend of mine has been asking me for a recipe for English Pea Salad. And I can’t find one that is similar to what he described. His mother (who passed away) use to make a pea salad that had a white creamy sauce that was not just mayonaise. He also said it has cheese and onions in it as well. It was not your typical pea salad. All of the recipes I have found are made with just mayo. I thought maybe it was sour cream or a combination of the two. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. My friend keeps asking me if I have found one and I haven’t been able to. I have looked everywhere. Any suggestions would be great. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Thanks for taking over for Jamie as he “recovers”, he has to remember he not as young as he used to be !!
I was wondering if you or Jamie could tell me how the restoration of Ellis Square is going and what is going in there- My hubby and I have seen it go from a REALLY BIG hole in the ground during our first visit to Savannah in Aug. 2006, to all of the construction we saw during our 3 other visits in 2007 & 2008, to it being pretty much done except for the final “top” part when we were there in April 2009. We stayed at the new AVIA, which is fabulous, and Becky the concierge said there’s been talk of an entertainment area, bandstand, playground… basically all kinds of ideas. We are coming back in Spring of 2010 and can’t wait to see it completed. We love that area with City Market, Kitchen on the Square (my fave) and close proximity to Broughton St and of course The Lady and Sons. I’m grateful for any info you can share. Have fun in NYC and enjoy your summer !!

Got a question for Mr. Phil, the Admin. Went on Paula’s “twitter” or “tweet” or however it’s called. Someone wrote about a new blog or whatever it’s called, I think, Get Cookin’ or something like that. Well, I managed to “find” it but it said to “log in with password.”
Well, I used my email address and I guessed at the password that I usually use but was told it was not good or whatever.
So ---- how do I access this site so I can put my two cents’ worth in if we’re allowed. Now, remember, I’m not computer “savvy” like you so if you could make it simple I would appreciate it. Thanks.

A trip to Savannah sounds like a good idea. I would love to sit on the beach at Tybee and read a book. I could use the R & R and escape for a while. I can only dream about it for now because I’m saving for my trip to Ireland next Spring.

Holding down the fort - excellent.
Savannah weather - a big bird mentioned that it’s a bit hot and steamy - and rainy! We are bone dry. The Mississippi is very low right now.
It’s suppose to rain all next week. Yeehaw!
I was going to write this on an earlier blog. I had a thought (uh-oh), something to think about while you are looking for that future lady.
Here is a good litmus test: If she is willing, with out complaint, to clean the Lady and Sons. She is a good candidate. OMG, she did not say that. Yes, I did. She probably will never have to clean it. However, rolling up your selves and getting dirty is part of being self-employed. Someone willing to mess up her manicure - is for real.
Unsolicited advice, true, but something to ponder.
It’s Thursday, only 3 days left of elementary school. I can’t wait! I need a vacation. 
Have a fantastic weekend - Bobby, Jamie, Phil, Lisa and Michael. Have we figured out what Michael does? I won’t pick on him, he is super nice.

I hope we have time to come to Savannah while visiting Charleston this fall! Two of my favorite cities! Tybee Island was beautiful but i was surprised at how quiet it was in September. We didnt have enough time on our last trip to see and do everything we wanted so hopefully we can get there again to finish our sightseeing! We did get to eat at The Lady and Sons! FANTASTIC!!!

It’s always nice to ‘see’ you on the blog! So...how was your golf game? I’m not much of a golfer. I tried playing a few times and I even took a class back in college but tennis is more my thing. (smile) Watched Best Dishes...I definitely have to try the peach ice cream! The Blackberry Coffee Cake from ‘Y’all Come Eat’ has become my ‘go to’ dessert...it’s so good!! I’ve tried using other types of fruit if I’m out of blackberries but the blackberries are my favorite!
Right now, a vacation to Savannah and to stay at the beautiful ‘Y’all Come Inn’ sounds great but hopefully in the near future...maybe at the next book signing! (smile)

My husband and I are thinking (seriously) of moving to Savannah within the next year. He is a chef and I work for the government. My agency has an office in Savannah so it would be perfect all the way around. Any tips or advice please feel free to offer it up. BTW....soooo love you guys and your mother.
