Hey y’all. we are feeling much better around the home front this week, thank you very much.
I have to send thanks out to the readers who voted for our restaurant being chosen as number one in the “Southern Favorite Restaurant” category this year for Southern Living Magazine.
One of my favorite restaurants in Savannah, Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House, also made the list and our city was chosen as the second favorite city to visit behind Charlston, South Carolina. We are proud to represent the tradition of southern cooking and service and happy for our friends at Mrs.Wilkes and for our city as well.
Pretty cool news....it even made the front page of our local paper. We had our monthly restaurant meeting last week and for the first time in our history the entire staff was named Employee of the Month. We couldn’t operate our restaurant the way we do without every one of our staff, all 250 of ‘em, pitching in and helping do business the way momma expects it to be done.
