That’s right , my old brother turned 42 yesterday. Happy Birthday Jamie...how’s 42 feel.
Well, at least you still look 41.
Jamie knows I love him and y’all know we love to kid each other about anything we can find and his being older than me is always my go to move. We are staying really busy here in Savannah. Summer has officially started and along with the temperature, our crowds for lunch and dinner have gone up too. We are so thankful to see a rise in business around here.
Jamie is out today putting the finishing touches on his birthday plans for Brooke tomorrow and wanted me to pop in and say thanks to y’all for coming back by and he will get to your questions next week.

I was in Savannah over the weekend and had the priviledge of eating at Uncle Bubba’s. It was amazing, we often drive (2 hours from where I live) just to eat at the Lady & Son’s. Which is also a treat. Back 4 years ago me and 2 other ladys drove down and had our pictures taken with both of you. I had bragging rights for a very long time! I am from a very small town called Williston SC so this was big for me! Hope it was FUN! It sounds like Brooke’s birthday is soon as well, or is Brooke having a bash for ya? Well anyways, hope it’s all fun!
Glad for you all that business is on the up & up. You got it, Bobby--it’s a time to be thankful for all we have. We’ve had some excellent restaurants fold here in Greenville, SC in the past year...good people, great chefs, but the urge to spend just dried up. Sad and scary.
Gonna try to get down there to Lady & Sons in August...my BFF and I stay on Hilton Head every August, and always talk about heading to Savannah, but it’s so dang hard to get off of the beach! Will try to get the sand outta our heads and hit 17, cruise on down. (She graduated from SCAD, and I’m sure it’s changed alot from the last time we were down to visit.)

Happy Birthday to Jamie and Brooke. Bobby, keep giving Jamie a hard time - Jamie, you do the same to Bobby. You are so lucky to have each other.
When I was 3 years old, my parents asked what I wanted for my birthday and I said I wanted a baby brother. I did not get him on my birthday, (I got a puppy instead) but my brother came along a few months later (big smile). As adults, he moved to Arizona and I to Alabama, but when we got together, we enjoyed giving each other a hard time and joking with each other so it was like we still lived in the same house. Unfortunately, I lost him to an accident a few weeks ago (he was 44). It is a sad time for my family but he was a fun-loving person and he would the one cracking jokes to lighten the mood, and would be kicking our butts if we stayed sad for too long. So, give each other a hug for me and stay close - siblings are definitely treasures.

Hi Guys!!
I know you probally hear this a lot, but I am going to put it out there anyway...I have been a fan of your mama, for a VERY long time...so long that she is the reason I want to move there, and am moving there when I graduate college. I have always wanted to visit Lady & Sons and take the Paula Deen Tour...well my wish is finally going to come true on Friday July 10th, 2009. That’s right Ya’All, I am going to be visiting Savannah, GA and taking the tour and eating some of Paula’s GREAT southern food. However, when making the reservations for dinner at 5PM (under my husbands name, Trent) I asked the receptionist what the chances were of me getting to meet Miss Paula, and she could not tell me, because your mama stops in and does not let anyone know when she is coming. That is understandable, BUT....it could be our little secret if you could get her to come to the restraunt that night so I can just take a picture with her, and be able to tell all my friends that I met the Queen of Food Network. Just like Promise Butta, I won’t tell anyone at the restraunt she is coming...I will keep this wish in my prayers until then. Thanks and can’t wait to get there.
