and I am already behind on the grass cutting schedule.
It is also easy to tell by the crowd at the restaurant lately.... thank goodness, you can’t hardly find a seat around that joint this past week or so.
Bobby and his crew got back safe from the big city a few days ago and everyone was blown away by the new stadium. In case y’all were wondering why I stayed behind, I was invited to attend a football practice in Athens on Friday and while it was tempting, I decided pretty quick where my rear end was going.
I guess some of y’all have seen momma on TV the last few days. Our family book dropped yesterday and it will keep her in the road for a few more days. She is such a pistol. I saw her on GMA and I know from experience they have plates of samples ready to go but of course mom tore into her gorilla bread and shoved it in Chris’s mouth....he will be glad to have the two “quieter Deen’s” back soon I bet.
We are pouring over the manuscript for “Take It Easy” and it looks super....the only problem is I have dropped about 25 pounds since we shot the photo’s and every one of me looks like the “before” picture of a Jenny Craig ad. Take the good with the bad I guess......
Our minor league baseball team, the Sand Gnats, opens the season tomorrow night and Bobby and I will be throwing out the first pitch so if you find yourself in Savannah come on out to the ballpark. Grayson Stadium is the oldest park in the league and a beautiful place to stretch out and see some young men play ball as hard as anyone will....pretty cold beer too.
thanks for checking back
y’all do good
