I have answers.
Diane asked about our upcoming book tour dates and locations-
Diane we are going to launch a brand new web site in a few weeks, thedeenbros.com, that will have every city and date of the tour. We are also moving the blog over there and I plan on having alot of fun at the new place. We are going to offer tons of recipes and have contest and keep y’all posted with lots of current photos.
Cindy had some questions about the book signing here at the restaurant this Friday-
Cindy will begin signing at 8am Friday morning with a end time set for 1030. I bet if folks are still hanging around we will be sure and take care of everybody. You can bring books from home or our store will have copies of anything you may need for your collection or someone you love.....guys, that’s you.
Joelle wants us in Philly-
See you there...we are set for October the 12th at Chester County Books at 7pm.
Lesa wants dirt on the “kiss” between Bobby and Kathy Griffin-
No one was more surprised than me when he laid one on her at the end of the filming. So much of reality TV is set up or encouraged but that was all Bobby on the spot and I liked to choked when he went in for the kill. We had alot of fun doing the show, she does’nt play so dirty in real life (at least around us those few days) and I thought it was a perfect end to the episode.
Teresa noticed from a Twitter photo I sent that mom is looking trim-
She has been working out everyday and while it was like pullin’ teeth for her in the beginning I think she feels better already and is looking great. Go ahead momma!
Jann is on the prowl I guess-
That’s my cousin Jay, Uncle Bubba’s son, who manages the Paula Deen store for us here in Savannah.

I have been told by several people that I look like Paula Deen so if you have a look-a-like contest I would relly like to know. I have been stopped in grocery stores, department stores, convenience stores and even when I have traveled out of state. I sure take it as a compliment. Now Paula, don’t you go and lose too much weight because then I can’t keep up with you.

Hey Jamie and Bobby, thanks for answering my question about who’s sitting behind Uncle Bubba. He sure doesn’t look like the picture on Get Cookin’ cast photos. Anyways, la-dees, check the family cookbook out. HE’s HOT.
Okay, enough of that. Listened to the podcast. Loved it that your cousin Don is a GATOR. About tomatos. Didn’t know you could freeze them whole. In the season here in Florida, I go to the farmer’s market and buy a bushel and stew them with fresh red and green peppers, Florida sweet onions and then freeze in Ziploc bags. Use them in the wintertime for my spaghetti, de-lish goooolash (to die for, BD).
Looking forward to your new website and any pictures you want to share with us. Love hearing Paula laugh. She seems to always have a good time.

Jamie, I sure enjoy your blog its something I look forward to each week. I be looking for the new site. I have a ? though. Is there a way to allow a recipe search to look in your site and your Mom’s and the restaraunts? I’ve got some favorites and its difficult to remember sometimes which site I found it on. Thought maybe some of your computer experts might be able to do that. It would help us out a lot, especially now when there will be one more great site to find delicious recipes on. Sooo.....I’m in the process of filming a new reality show. Can you send Bobby up here to help me out with it, Jamie? I need an interesting way to end the show!
Just kidding, Bobby!! Actually, I “uncleverly” bring the show up because I think you deserve kudos for YOUR cleverness and for being such a good sport in playing along with Kathy’s schtick. And I would love to know if the kiss was a spur-of-the-moment idea or if you thought of it before hand with the plan of doing it if the opportunity presented itself.
Well, like everyone else, I’m looking forward to viewing the new website and to the release of your new cookbook. Any cookbook that has the word “Easy” in it attracts my attention. The fewer the ingredients and easier the process, the more likely I am to try a recipe. I hope it’s a great success for you!

Hey y’all! Love the blogs and podcasts. You guys are the most REAL people of all the celebrities I’ve followed. I heard about The Lady and Sons years ago when you were at the small restaurant and I said if I ever get to Savannah, I HAVE to go there. Well it turns out my husband and I didn’t get there until June 2005 well after Paula had made the big time. So we had to stand in a loooong line at the new restaurant for lunch(but met the most interesting people)and it was so worth it! Didn’t get to see any of you but ordered a cookbook and you all signed it(bless your hearts). Can’t wait to get back up there one day. Meanwhile, keep it real. (Saw you guys on Kathy Griffin’s show-it was a hoot!!) Later.

Hey Jamie, I am working my way thru The Deen Family Cookbook, well, actually, I can’t get off your Mexican Chicken Tort Casserole - it is fabulous! I usually bring supper down to my guys working at night at the gelato store, and they always ask for this dish. I’m happy to do it because it’s a snap to make.
