Paula Deen’s flagship restaurant, The Lady and Sons, had its humble beginnings back in June 1989 when Paula started The Bag Lady out of her home. Since then, it has grown into a world-renowned restaurant and full-service catering venue. In fact, in December 1999, The Lady and Sons was named “International Meal of the Year” by USA Today.

Today, the three-story building where charm and character collide now features a unique family-style dining experience. In true Southern tradition, we serve a family-style spread of hearty down-home dishes along with Paula’s famous sides to be selected and shared by the table. Endless portions of Southern-style entrées and side dishes, such as collard greens, crispy fried chicken, broccoli casserole, and more, are passed around, and every guest ends their meal with a dessert of their choice—we recommend the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake!
